Money And How to Make It @ the Magnetic 375 (Review)

Money and How to Make It!
Last year, I had the pleasure of catching Beer and How To Drink It! I was eager to find out what this year’s ‘How-To’ installment would be. In a town with economic limitations and many locals striving for living wages, it seems only natural that we could use some financial advice on how to rake in more cash. We are huddled masses yearning to stack cheddar. Without giving too much away, one can expect a variety of fast-paced sketches featuring puppets, songs, meta-humor about the show itself, inside jokes about Asheville, running gags (sometimes at the expense of a certain cast member) and helpful tips on how to polish up your resume. It’s great to see this fantastic ensemble work so well together again and play off one another with hilarious results. Bring your co-workers to laugh at all the funny but true moments and be rewarded with a show that guarantees laughs and possibly financial dividends. Get more than your money’s worth while you still can! Money and How To Make It! is playing at Magnetic 375 (375 Depot Street in the River Arts District) Thursdays-Saturdays, 7:30 PM, now through February 25 only. All performances $21 online/$24 at the door. $10 student rush tickets available 15 minutes before curtain with valid I.D. The fourth in the series—after smash hits Sex and How To Have It!, Food and How To Eat It!, and Beer and How To Drink It! The show features the talented cast of Scott Fisher, Katie Langwell, Valerie Meiss, and Glenn Reed. Direction by Magnetic Theatre Artistic Director Steven Samuels. As always, all involved contribute material, along with head writer Lisa Yoffee. Lighting design by Jason Williams. Choreography by Kristi DeVille. Purchase tickets here.
