Food. Beer. Music. Fashion. Asheville is known as a destination and purveyor of all four, and this Sunday, May 17th, they will combine foces in the Pizza Pan-Demonium event, a benefit for Eblen Charities. Taking place at Highland Brewing Company, the event kicks off at 5:30 pm with a gourmet pizza cook off featuring chefs from restaurants like Strada, Nona Mia, All Souls, Favilla’s, Mellow Mushroom, Del Vecchio’s, and Frank's Roman Pizza, plus celebrity judges and jammin’ bands.   To add to the entertainment, a Biker Babe Fashion Show will take the stage at 7pm.    The event is produced by Rock Eblen of BioFlyer Productions, which is a successful fundraising vehicle for his family’s service organization, Eblen Charities. I’ve teamed up with Rock and BioFlyer Productions a couple of times in the past to produce the fashion show segment in his events, so I was approached about the Biker Babe Fashion Show part of the Pizza Pan-Demonium event and signed on to coordinate it.   As both a fashionista and motorcycle enthusiast, I felt the key to this fashion show would be to produce a look that is both fashion-forward and entertaining while still fitting with the biker theme.   The show will feature two different looks: The first is an edgy and sporty look featuring stylish motorcycle jackets and tops, accessorized with helmets for the models to carry and leather racing gloves, all provided by MR Motorcycles located on Hendersonville Road in Asheville.   The second is a more bohemian biker look featuring lots of leather, suede, fringe, and embellishments provided by Enchanted Forrest located on Merrimon Avenue in Asheville and styled by Dani Chaboudy.   Both looks will be paired with edgy hairstyling by Carmen Carmen Salon and also Daisy Chavers of Love, Daisy salon. The hair will be complemented by pinup inspired makeup by makeup artists Carisse Alexandra of Beauty by Carisse, Vanessa Sogan, and Danielle Southcott.  Combine that with our eleven beautiful models who will be rocking the stage and you have a look that is fierce and edgy, but also fun.    Between the pizza, Highland Beer, live local bands, and biker fashion, this will indeed be a fun event that is not to miss.   Tickets for Pizza Pan-Demonium are $20 in advance ($25 at the door) and include free pizza, beer, and entertainment. Kids under age 12 are $5 and teens are $10 at the door. There will also be VIP packages for true connoisseurs. Tickets are available at bioflyer.wordpress.com.   Stay up-to-date on Asheville Fashion News by visiting my website, www.sarahmerrell.com.
