Underground Sound
Calling all musicians! We are thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Music Video Asheville, we have decided to extend our submission deadline for Underground Sound: The Path to Music Video Asheville, until November 15th, 2016. We will continue to accept your amateur videos and applications up until this date, at which point we will open voting. Voting will run 11/15 through 12/15, and we will announce the winner on the 16th of December! In order to give more musicians time to enter the contest, we are pushing back to a deadline that will still allow the winner to spend plenty of time crafting their perfect music video.  Just a reminder about the fantastic Grand Prize. Here's the package: - $2500 to make a professionally-produced music video with one of our area's fabulous videographers - a guaranteed entry into the 10th annual Music Video Asheville Awards To enter, you just need to fill out an application on our website. Be sure to check out the great entries already there, and start revving up excitement to get votes! Your video should be amateur (i.e. not touched by a professional) and should have good quality audio. You can do a straight-on live video, you can throw down in a creative location--but remember the point is to showcase the music and pitch yourself and the video you'd like to make. Some editing is ok, but remember--your video must be amateur and must be produced for this contest. Violating the rules and regulations could result in disqualification, and nobody wants that. :(  Questions? Email ali@ashevillegrit.com, and keep those submissions comin' in, y'all!
