On Sunday, October 15th, LEAF International is having a Latin-fused celebration at White Horse Black Mountain. The event will be a uniquely cross-cultural, with music, words, and dance.   From 4-6pm, performers from Mexico, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico will come together to inspire, entertain, and encourage the preservation of the rich, sacred traditions of Latin communities everywhere. The cost is just $10 (or suggested donation) which goes to raise funds to help educate youth across the globe on the importance of traditional Guatemalan music. There will also be a silent auction with authentic crafts from Guatemalan craftsmen of El Tajar, the RAICES Folk Dancers, and more.   The event is made possible by a collaboration between LEAF Community Arts, PEG, (Proyecto Para Las Escuelas Guatemaltecas), and local, award-winning folk musician David LaMotte, who runs a nonprofit dedicated to providing needed support to underfunded schools in Guatemala.   Transportation can be requested for local communities by emailing international@theleaf.org, and for more information on the event and LEAF International Guatemala, visit theleaf.org/Guatemala.    WHEN: Sunday, October 15th from 4-6pm WHERE: White Horse Black Mountain 105 Montreat Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711
